Tour of Italy at The Plantation

Fall Open House
Southern Plantation Oasis

Our client-only open house and tasting featured a brand new wedding weekend option at Southern Plantation Oasis in northwest Hillsborough County. It is just minutes from the Veteran's Expressway.

This vacation rental home get-away offers a trio of theming from tropical, to rustic, to Southern styling . . . depending on the areas where you center your activities.

Host, Jennifer Henry, offers a great deal of flexibility for wedding couples with even a spacious getting ready suite on the second level over-looking the spacious grounds.

She has just finished clearing a lake-front dock a short walk from the house and pool area.

Next door neighbors have several horses which are ready for posing with brides and grooms.

The best aspect of the plantation is its privacy, tucked in with "natural" surroundings.
Here are some glimpses of our fall open house and tasting for our clients. Our menu had a Mediterranean flair with emphasis on many Italian specialties.

Our menu included carved roast baron of beef, bruschetta grilled chicken and Italian styled green beans with mushrooms.

We also offered a whipped potato station and fresh Italian layered salad.

We offered a delightful assortment of mini cupcakes and cannolis.

We utilized one of the large breezeways for guest seating in lieu of a tent.

The majority of our buffet-styled offerings were situated out in the open.

Our service staff hand-passed some tasty miniature appetizers from different areas of Italy. From Caprese Skewers to Applewood sauce to crispy calamari and deep fried mac and cheese (not really Italian, but two of our clients were dying to sample it for their weddings).

We also served antipasto skewers and mini tiropitas filled with cream cheese, feta, and parmesean cheese.

The patio area surrounding the tropical pool, is ideal for either a ceremony setting or cocktail hour. The tiki bar is a bonus complete with a flat screen TV for sneaking in a glimpse of the latest sports channel.

There's always the expansive wrap around porch for socializing after the ceremony.

Our specialty dish was our popular Paella

Many thanks to Melissa Lauren Images for providing many of the pictures for this open house.
