Our mid-December wedding clients, Aly and John, were surrounded by a wonderful, yet diverse set of family backgrounds that made their celebration at the Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast really amazing. Aly's mom, Joan, was our point person throughout our short planning time period.

Because of Aly's and Joan's polarized planning ideas, we were able to pull together a huge amount of details inleas than four months prior to the wedding. Both were on target with their expectations which made things less complicated.

Ally and Joan were very receptive to John's Greek family's willingness to infuse traditional elements into the celebration. For instance, the rehearsal dinner, the night prior, focused on many lively Greek favorites and their reception features an enormous array of pastries. Aly's family remained traditionally imbedded in a simplier Florida food fare.

The family reserved overnight accommodations for Friday and Saturday evenings. This created a laid-back wedding day for everyone at one place. The front area of the B & B faced the lovely, calm waters of the Palmetto River . . . a perfect backdrop for the ceremony with a temporary road closure in effect.

Ali and Joan decided on many functional DIY components including burlap wrapped mason jars hung from our white shepherd hooks along the aisle. These were filled with an assortment of mini florals the family acquired in bulk from the Palmetto Sam's Club along personal wedding flowers. We were super amazed at the quality of flowers presented overall for the wedding.

The opportunity to spend an entire weekend at the wedding location set well with Aly who looked totally relaxed the full day of getting ready activities. Left Turn Photography captured so many great images of both the bridal party and family prior to the wedding held in later afternoon. Inside the special event area of the B & B, we were able to set up the place cards and buffet arrangement at a relaxed pace.

Coordinator, Bradley Dempsey took the client's fresh florals (with some added natural additions) and created a beautiful chandelier in the gazebo area.

Aly and her dad were beaming with enthusiasm as they made their way down the aisle.

Dramatic shaded oak trees created a natural canopy overhead.

Around the back of the venue, our staff was busy setting up the garden styled reception area complete with teal flat folded napkins and chair ties. Our in-house white lanterns created a focal point on each table that represented the clean, simplified look of the tablescape.

Aly and John designed table number pieces with different pictures of them together as a coupl.

The B & B's front lawn also served as the sign-in/gift table area once guests arrive. Once the ceremony was over, our staff took the gifts and card box indoors.

Our colleague, Eladio, of DeLite Entertainment, provided a subtle base of operations on the back veranda area that was within several feet of the dance floor area.

The main buffet was situated inside the small gathering indoor area. Guests were literally steps away from their tables.

Congratulations to Aly and John for a successful celebration that reflected different backgrounds that eventually came together as one.
