New Orleans-Styling at the Tampa Garden Club

Joshondra and Johny

There is just something about a jazzy, robust wedding celebrated in a New Orleans style. It doesn't matter where in the work it is held. You are assured of an emphasis on cuisine, tradition, and lively entertainment.

This was Joshondra's and Johny's celebration at the Tampa Garden Club.

We had met them via a bridal show at another venue where we featured our popular Jambalaya and a few other Cajun/Creole favorite menu items.

Our relationship started there.

Joshondra previously had chosen to work with Barbara of Luxfetti Events for her planning and coordinating services . . . along with her inventory of classic gold Infinity Chairs for the reception. This proved to be an amazing match.

Barb attended all of our design meetings and we simultaneously captured all of the couple's visions for the look and feel of the ceremony and reception. AND YES, Johny, the groom was very involved.

The results of both bride and groom being equally involved equated to the success of the wedding.

The color scheme evolved into navy blue, white, and gold with touches of purple and burgundy.

Joshondra was on board for personalizing almost every aspect of the celebration through signage and unique displays that related to the New Orleans "experience."

Guest and head table were indicated by street signs from the Big Easy. Specialty drinks (including a frozen drink option) were found at the bar.

This signaled the fun-filled things to come.

Barbara of Luxfetti created a traditional ceremony backdrop on the garden club's existing garden abor.

Of course, Joshonda and Johny followed the New Orleans traditions with their ceremony exit and brass music which continued into social hour.

After the ceremony there was plenty of time for formal and private photos of the bride and groom.

Inside the conservatory, guests enjoyed social hour with festive New Orleans décor, libations, and hand passed finger foods.

Guests were seated via a board of mini masks attached with their names and table numbers.

Food was extremely important to Joshondra and Johny. They attended every single client tasting we scheduled to make their choices.

For social hour they chose appetizers from our Cajun-Creole Cookery specialty menu.

Deep Fried Pickles
Seasonal Fruit Skewers
Cajun Chicken

Spicy Fried Crab Cakes

The main reception inside the main ballroom offered a trio of guest table looks ranging from our elevated gold stands with white pillar candles surrounded by purple mum heads at the base to . . . .

. . . our five branch gold candlelabras

. . . to Luxfetti's ultra tall gold stands with feathery arrangements finished in pearls.

The sweetheart table set against the Bayshore window backdrop featured our in-house blue sequinced cloths with burgundy accented cylinders and gold votive holders.

Every table was indicated by New Orleans street name.

Unique Gobo lighting designs created a special wall motif

Goldies Goodies provided the cake and we did classic deep fried heart-shaped Beignets as part of the desserts

Our main dinner menu ranged from Green Beans Almandine to the much anticipated Jambalaya topped with fresh crawfish we had shipped directly from a Louisiana fishery.

We are so thankful for Joshondra and Johny's confidence in our ability to provide a fully customized celebration for their special day.
