Graceful Celebration at The Vault

Barbara + Don 


Although from the Sarasota area, Barbara and Don planned their wedding here entirely from Colorado. They chose The Vault in Downtown Tampa, because of its historic value, a mutual interest shared by both.

Prior to their September wedding, Barb made three trips here to meet up with vendors, decide her menu, do a site visit, and make decisions about room layout and guest table decor. Because of her excellent communications via text and email, we were able to accomplish quite a bit in between visits.

Kudos to Fallbrook Photography for the lovely moments they captured throughout the wedding day. Getting ready was staged at The Floridian Hotel near The Vault.







At The Vault, guests arrived for the ceremony where they were asked to sign in on a small leaf that would be added to a keepsake frame later cherished by Barb and Don.



The purple, turquoise, and silver color scheme was reflected in accent linens and décor provided by Catering By Robert and the couple.



The ceremony area was set up initially in the main ballroom with pre-set tables and bars hidden behind draped areas.





After the ceremony concluded, guests and bridal party made their way outside to enjoy social hour and bridal party pictures.


When guests arrived back inside the ballroom, everything had been transformed.
They found their tables via traditional place cards in alphabetical order. 




The room was "washed" in a blue hue.



Guest tables were draped in our champagne cloths and had alternating centerpieces and napkin colors.




Our white carriage lanterns surrounded by fresh floral accents were featured with dark purple napkins.


The second option included our three varying heights of glass cylinders filled with deep purple orchid stems and turquoise napkins.  






We added a white lace overlay to the sweetheart table.



 For social hour we hand-passed Mango Salsa Phyllo Cups, Marinated Mushrooms, and Brushetta.

Posh Family Styled Reception at The Orlo

Becca and her mom, Vicki booked with us just less than three months before the February wedding at The Orlo. Food for the reception was one of the most important aspects of Becca and Wes's celebration and they were looking for a caterer who could satisfy their specific requests.

A family-styled meal for up to 70 guests was their plan. Hand-passed appetizers which ranged from Mini Sliders to Fish Tacos, were on their list. A late night snack offering of Mini Pressed Cuban Sandwiches, Fried Plantains and Sweet Potato Fries completed their request. 

There were gluten free options, vegetarian options, and some other special dietary needs. Although a challenge in the Orlo sprawling spaces, we managed to pull everything together with a larger than normal staff size. 

For Becca, everything was in the DETAILS. She and her mom had been working for the many months prior in creating a décor plan that matched the vintage feel of the mansion. These details ranged from pillar candle clusters on the stairs and inside the fireplaces to lace curtains hung on either side of the ceremony backdrop. 



Becca chose The Garden Shed as her florist. They were able to accommodate some of her special requests including a decadent floral headpiece. Everything from the fireplaces to the staircase and guest tables were adorned with fresh greenery and minimal buds. The results were stunning. 



Becca's vision for her wedding day included an early arrival for all bridal party and family members. Some special moments with Wes were tastefully captured by Seattle-based Lion Lady Photography.


 




Becca kept herself relaxed with needlepoint prior to the wedding as the photographer collected more pre-ceremony pictures inside and outside of the venue. 











 

The parlor served as the social hour area along with the front porch. Later it became the dance floor. 


The main reception dinner was held in the Orlo's Ballroom. Focal point was a large feasting table for family and bridal party. The natural wood table was surrounded by six to eight person round tables covered in champagne linen.




Some of the family style items we served were platters of Rack of Lamb, Citrus Zested Broiled Salmon, Roasted Red Potatoes, and Asparagus Spears with Hollandaise.
