Baby Shower Soirees

Shower Me With Love!

Baby showers have become sophisticated events reflecting the hopes and dreams of little ones getting ready to enter the world. Often they involve more than just the "ladies" and gents become a welcome addition . . . especially if couples have made a trek to attend.

Showers also focus on the mom and her plans for motherhood and her baby. Perhaps décor can include items actually that will be utilized in baby's room. This is the more practical side to a baby shower.

Sometimes there are silly games to break the ice or activities that entertain everyone in attendance.

Whatever your style or theme, Catering By Robert / Event Concepts. FL is prepared to reflect your individuality through in-house linens, décor, coordination, and of course, food.

We hope you get some inspiration from this blog which features our own special great-granddaughter's "preview into the world" as designed by myself, my daughter, Christy, and my granddaughter and mom-to-be, Caity.

Some tips:

Carry out a theme. For our special new little girl, her mom chose "pineapples" as the theme for a midday brunch.

Gold, rose gold, champagne, and several shades of pink were the colors.

Mom and grandma acquired printed invitations and special guest "forms" and labels from sources on Etsy.

Here's some images of this March shower for Baby Mia:

Guests signed in on small wood pineapples.

A special dedication to the mother to be's Grandma Toby was located at the sign in table.

Guests were directed to the Mimosa Bar with chilled champagne and non-alcoholic white sparkling grape juice plus orange and pineapple juices as "chasers." Fresh fruit was an option.

This 45-person shower featured guest tables of 6 - 8 guests with champagne linen and gold satin "pillow case" chair covers.

For the centerpieces, we acquired hollowed out pineapples from a local grocery store, sprayed them gold and added fresh white hydrangea with pops of pink roses. Champagne sequins runners added sparkle to the tables.

Each place setting contained a special "wishes" card for the new baby.

Step-mom of the mother-to-be created a special sign that would be used later in the baby's room. And Mimi (grandmother of the baby) filled a stacking unit with newborn items that also would be a practical part of the nursery.

Each guest went home with a "cookie favor" and thank you.

A Smokey Cheddar Cheese Ball in the shape of a pineapple was surrounded by Mini Donut and Fruit Skewers.

A brunch buffet featured luncheon and breakfast items.

Brunch items included carved honey glazed ham with biscuits, breakfast potato casserole topped with corn flakes, chicken and waffles, quiche lorrraine squares, and pasta primavera.

Sweet Endings included Cupcake Pops, Mini Cupcakes, special imprinted M & M's, and Pineapple Upside Down Cake.
