When Camila and Michael first married in 2008, they had to put off a big celebration because of his military responsibilities. With two young boys and a hurried life behind them, it was time for the New Jersey couple to plan the wedding they always dreamed of here in Florida.

Because Camila was a teacher and Mike's work, they decided that late summer was the best option for the 10-year anniversary/vow renewal. They decided to rent a private vacation rental home in Clermont where they could stay a week and host a number of guests for their vow renewal and reception.

We were on the preferred list to help with planning and catering. As we worked together over several months, Camila got nervous about holding an all outdoor celebration at the private home. So we set out to find another venue within an hour's drive of Clermont.

Since Camila could not tour all of the possible locations, she relied on me to give her advice. We both fell in love with Covington Farm in Dade City.

We met at Covington just days before the wedding and thankfully it was everything Camila had hoped for.

Camila and Mike depended on our vendor recommendations for every other important aspect of their wedding day. Eva Photo Studio did a remarkable job capturing the romance of the day.

The couple and their wedding party utilized the second level getting ready suites early on the day of the celebration.

There was plenty of time for pictures indoors and out.

As on most humid summer days, the storm clouds moved in as guests stepped off the shuttle bus. Camila had her heart set on a beautiful outdoor ceremony. So guests were scurried off to find their seats and the ceremony started a few minutes early to out-run the rain.

Because we always are prepared for rain, we worked with the team at Carmen's Flowers to have an alternative ceremony set up inside the barn.

The social hour proceeded on the back porch as more formal pictures were taken before the raindrops started to fall.

We served a variety of hot and cold hand-passed hors d'oeuvres that included Coconut Shrimp, Mini Sliders, Deep Fried Mac and Cheese Bites, Chicken and Waffles, and Bacon-Wrapped Scallops.

Despite traveling all the way from Jersey, Camila brought a huge amount of personalized items for display. There were pictures galore and lots of mementoes from their previous  years as a couple.

Inside the main barn reception area, Camila chose very simple table décor focusing on the beauty of the hard wood farm tables. She had florist, Carmen, design a floral box that was complimented with small bud vases.

The highlight of the wedding day was the elaborate dessert display Camila designed. Besides a wedding cake and small delectable items provided by Goldies Goodies Bakery, Camila furnished some of her favorite own mini sweets.

Camila allowed us to embellish with our in-house lace accents on burlap and in overlays and runners. This added a softer look to the number of wood tables and chairs inside the barn.

We handled the open bar services which started out on the back porch and was transferred to the inside during the main reception.

Congratulations, Camila and Mike. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day!
