A Champagne Celebration at Davis Islands Garden Club

Jessie and Matthew

Davis Islands Garden Club

Earth tone champagne was the color of choice for Jessie as she planned for her fall celebration at Davis Islands Garden Club. She added touches of pink, navy, ivory, and gold to complete her looks for fresh flowers and added decor.

She and her mom custom designed some amazing silk floral pieces including the ceremony gazebo trimmings and some special hanging hoops for the patio area.

We think the pictures and their captions tell the story of this simple but elegant celebration!

Gold Chiavari Chairs were used first for ceremony and then for the indoor reception.

Instead of a traditional sign in book, Jessie chose a blank world globe for guests to autograph.

Plenty of room for gifts and cards on this decorated table on the patio

Jessie included wedding pictures of older loved ones

These huge hula hoops were decorated in silk greens and flowers and suspended over the back patio

The couple offered an "ipad" photo booth for guests

Jessie's mom sewed this lovely flowing champagne chiffon skirt for the sweetheart table

Guest table centerpieces alternated between our five-branch gold candlelabras and gold urns filled with fresh flowers

Our antique ivory charger plates graced ivory napkins gathered with a silk flower napkin ring made by the bride

No complaints about being able to see this seating chart in dim lighting!

Each guest at the table was asked to share thoughts about the bride and the groom in this small booklet that also served as the Table Number

Assorted cookies and cupcakes were added to the wedding cake table

Introducing a New Waterfront Estate for Weddings in St. Pete

Nestled within the historic Jungle Prada Neighborhood of St. Petersburg, Boca Ciega Vista recaptures the tropical allure of the peaceful intercoastal waterfront from days gone by.

The infamous "hide-out" for many of the 1920's infamous gangsters as well as stage and screen celebrities, Jungle Prada's lush shores attracted winter visitors with its privacy and easy access to the Gulf of Mexico. The estate's picturesque home is a combination of Key West and Victorian era architecture. One can envision the many opulent outdoor parties hosted on its spacious lawns and terraces during the vibrant 1920s.

Today, Boca Ciega Vista is a private residence encompassing an entire city block along Park Street North in St. Pete. Its owners have revived the landscaping and exterior portions of the home to reflect its original early century charm.

It is available for special celebrations on a limited basis. The one day rental includes up to 2.5 hours of drop off time and ceremony rehearsal the day prior. The day of the wedding, access time begins at 10 a.m. with separate getting ready areas for brides and grooms and their respective attendants.

Here are some highlights of the estate:

Getting Ready Suites

A second floor bridal suite in the main house, provides a secluded area for one set of bridal party members to leisurely prepare for the day's events while overlooking the remaining set up of the wedding preparations. Front gate access and parking will be given to drop offs, photographers, make-up artists, and hair stylists.

The pool house can serve as an additional preparation area for the second set of bridal party members with restroom access and awesome view of the bay. Decorated in bistro style it offers a fun tropical theme with built in bar and dark wood furnishings.

Separate Guest Access Gate

A separate gated access welcomes guests as they arrive on the property. A decorated welcome table, and casual seating provides guests an area to sign in and drop off gifts or cards.

Boca Ciega Vista boasts a variety of options for your ceremony. From a panoramic bay view to intimate, tree shaded backdrop, the estate allows you to use your imagination to create the perfect setting for your nuptials.

This area is perfect for a cocktail hour, dance floor area, and entertainment. The pool can be covered in acrylic to accommodate a large dance floor. There are two restrooms in this space. Events of over 75 guests may require luxury portable restrooms.

The Crow's Nest Deck overlooks both the pool/bay and the back lawn. Casual sunset seating with built in bar is a part of this newly built area.

The covered walkway under the Crow's Nest provides the perfect location for a poolside dance floor, bar, or food stations.

Shrubs and Trees lining the area are filled with twinkling lights
