But when you have a very picky bride with a subtle approach to her décor, there can be many challenges. We accepted the challenges which included a light and whimsical use of light blue, deep purple and sage green amid the eloquent architectural elements of the venue.
Being from out of town, Kelly, maintain a very detailed private Pinterest wedding board, that we could view throughout the planning process. Most of discussions were by phone and her mom, who was here locally, was very helpful in conveying her daughter's design requests.
Even though lilac and sage green were primary colors for the wedding, Kelly's girls was eggplant.
The ceremony area was decorated mostly in neutral tones with simple hints of the bride's color combinations down the aisle. Chairs, with a sage green textured tie, were transferred from ceremony to reception in the grand ballroom.
The main corridor in front to the Florida Room featured the sign in table with wine bottles designating every major milestone year of their marriage. Additionally, it had the guest place cards in alphabetical order.
We hand passed a variety of appetizers including fruit skewers, marinated mushrooms, phyllo cups with fresh pineapple salsa, and mini quiche.
The cake and accompanying mini cupcakes mimicked the theming of the wedding.
Food stations included all of Kelly's and Nate's favorite foods - many Italian and some from the Boston area where they resided.
