Hollis Gardens' Magnolia Building

A sense of humor . . . . you have to have it often to get through the tensions involved with hosting a wedding.
That was Jessie and Daniel, our May couple who we got to know really well through lots of communication via text, Facebook, email, and phone calls.
While so much went well, the lighted chandelier and string lighting blew a circuit right before the main reception started in the Magnolia Room. While this Mirror Lake iconic building is beautiful, it is a bit dated and it circuitry is often challenged with multiple electrical uses.
That didn't damper this couple's spirits. They took everything in stride. he show went on as planned with more focus on Jessie and Daniel and their lovely hand-picked decor.
The ceremony was held in a nearby church and social hour out on the back veranda of the Magnolia Building.
Jessie and Daniel chose a contrasting combination of peach, coral and gold for their color scheme. Jessie was really into "Bling" so there were pops of glitzy runners embellishing the main tables.
Jessie wanted to utilize many vessels and candle holders she had collected for the wedding. We utilized them on cocktail tables, sign in, and gift tables.
Guest tables centerpieces alternated between the florist's urns filled with white, peach and coral florals and our in-house tall gold candelabra's with the florist's arrangements on top.
We arranged for gold chiavari chair rentals and the guest tables were completed with gold charger plates, an assortment of votive holders, mirror rounds, and gold charger plates.
One of the most rewarding aspects of doing weddings is being referred from a happy former client. Such was the case this time with a referral from Taryn and Eina from the year prior.
