Navy and Yellow Wedding as Easy as PII

Stephanie and Robert
Davis Islands Garden Club

What does PII and reptiles have to do with a wedding celebration? It has to with the degree of personalization our clients want to incorporate into their special day.

That was the case for Stephanie and Robert's early spring wedding at Davis Islands Garden Club. Although the couple lived in Dallas, Stephanie's mom, Barbara, who lives here, took the all of the couple's ideas and incorporated every detail into their wedding day.

First, some background: The couple are engineers who love everything mathematical

Second, Stephanie adores reptiles in all shapes and forms and bright yellow is her favorite color

Stephanie met in advance in Dallas for a design meeting with my former creative director, Kent Billiter, who moved there the year prior. Kent shared many details on Stephanie and Robert's ideas that came out of that meeting.

Stephanie joined her mom and I one time for a guest table design meeting. It all fell together perfectly with her initial ideas for navy blue and yellow. She entrusted her mom and I to complete her vision of a tasteful, yet fun celebration.

Here are some of the highlights of
Stephanie and Robert's wedding day:

They cut their cake at a specific time in line with the PI alignment on their wedding day.

Yellow roses and sunflowers were Stephanie's top choice in florals for her wedding. The gazebo and aisle were decorated in these amazing colors.

Social hour was AMAZING. The couple hired a local company to provide roaming and tamed reptiles for their social hour. This was definitely a "meet and greet" situation.

We loved creating a unique hand-passed hors d'oeuvrs tray with a crocadile scuplture in the center.

Inside, things were much more "tamed" with beautiful sunflowers EVERYWHERE.

At the end of the night, it was all about Stephanie and Robert!
