What a happy, fun-loving couple. That's what stood out about Jenn and James. They always had smiles on their faces when we would discuss their wedding. I truly felt their positive attitude carried over to the success of their celebration.
Their lively approach to planning could be seen in every aspect of their celebration . . . from custom sayings naming every guest table to the incorporation of rustic elements like horseshoes, lanterns, and bright yellow flowers everywhere.
And you could see the excitement on their faces during the entire wedding!
When we arrived, every single item we had to place was categorized in well-marked boxes. And there were lots of items that Jenn had spent months designing and collecting.
One of the most helpful things Jen did in her initial Design Questionnaire, was to include many detailed pictures of the flowers that would play a role in her celebration. These were her "blueprint" for the look and feel of her event.
Even though their venue, the St. Pete Beach Community Center, had a bay-side setting, Jenn opted for a casual yet chic country theme.
Because she was so organized, Jenn and her girls relaxed as they got ready in one of the small rooms at the community center. No stress seen in their faces here!
The ceremony was held on the plaza facing Boca Ciega Bay. Jenn and James' young son, Mason, had his special part to play in the wedding as well.
Following the ceremony, guests were invited upstairs to the terrace for the social hour. Jenn and James chose our popular hot beer cheese spread for the appetizers.
We utilized a variety of our in-house decorative fabrics to fit in with Jenn's rustic look. Slate gray was the main color with whisps of bright yellow. We added in gray chevron to compliment the yellow chevron she featured in signage. Yellow polka dots even made an appearance.
A large black lantern served as the card holder.
Instead of regular place cards, Jenn tied guest seating assignments to horseshoe favors.
We brought in our large wagon wheel from the ceremony area and placed it in front of the sweetheart table.
Guest tables were kept simple, yet colorful with alternating gray and yellow napkins. Slate gray runners lined the centers of the tables and our in-house black lanterns were filled with yellow rose petals. A single yellow flower in a small vase added just the right amount of pop to the center of the table.
The bride's cousin made her cake that sat atop our favorite rustic wood elevation.
We continued the rustic look on the buffet with a simple arrangement of natural branches and mini daisies.

Thanks Jenn and James for incorporating so much spirit into your wedding. The pictures say it all!
