Amanda and Jim
March 2013

Not even a blustery March day on the waterfront could dampen the spirits of Amanda and Jim as they celebrated in classic style at the St. Pete Beach Community Center.
We worked with the couple along with Amanda's mom, Karen, for an entire year. They booked our Treasure Chest package which included everything from the event site to the catering, photography, dj, and even the flowers and cake. Since the couple lived on the East Coast of Florida, they felt more comfortable having one contact for all services for their wedding day.
During just a few planning meetings face to face, we were able to capture Amanda and Jim's vision for their wedding day - a black and red palette against a tropical waterfront backdrop.
The design process began during one of our client-only open houses where event designer, Bradley Dempsey, showcased some table elements that eventually translated into Amanda's formal guest table look.
Since Amanda was not able to attend the open house, Karen attended with several personalized components including a table number "cylinder" imprinted with their names and wedding date. Although they knew they wanted glass cylinders for their centerpiece, it was not decided until later to acquire fresh orchid stems from the florist. The red look came from dying the water. We alternated our single 20" vases with a trio of three in varying sizes.
Creating a table scape is usually the first step in developing an over-all event look. Since red roses were Amanda's top choice in flowers, they were even incorporated into the topper for her cake.
Amanda and Jim chose to get ready at separate locations the day of their wedding. This gave each the relaxed atmosphere to spend with their families and their bridal party members.
Amanda arrived by limo just before walking down the aisle.
Catering By Robert's white pergola was simply decorated in flowing white fabric and dots of red silk florals. Tropical trees were provided by A1 Foliage.
On the terrace above the ceremony area, a special memorial table honored the bride and groom's grandfathers with pictures and their favorite baseball caps.
A special pose with "future" sister-in-law, Brittany (also one of our clients)!
The Jim was honored with a special groom's cake depicting Syracuse University.
Congratulations to Amanda and Jim for all the great memories of your special day!
