Blueberry with a Twist

Juniper and Andy

Juniper and Andy were one of our most practical wedding couples this past year. Not only did they have a strong sense of style, they knew exactly what they wanted for their celebration.

A year in advance, they decided to contract our Treasure Chest package so they knew exactly how much the key elements of their wedding would cost. It includes the venue for ceremony and reception, photography, dj service, ceremony decorations, wedding cake, officiant, ceremony coordinator, and basic ceremony flowers.

Because the couple knew exact costs they would incur a year out, they were able to spurge on things over and above our package. These included fresh orchid stems for our glass cylinders, plants and foliage with lighting for ceremony and reception, colored chair ties and runners, and some additional matching floral pieces.

They chose a blueberry color palette with a touch of purple and platinum for their celebration at the St. Pete Beach Community Center. Juniper and Andy opted to get ready at a St. Pete Beach hotel where they have plenty of room to enjoy the process with their family and wedding party members.

Photographer, Alex Ready of Melissa Lauren Images, spent most of the wedding day capturing detailed pictures filled with excitement and anticipation.

As the day progressed, it became apparent that rain and strong winds would play havoc with the ceremony on the community center plaza. The final decision was made to move everything under the building, still with the Boca Ciega Bay backdrop.

The couple's sand ceremony was still able to be held and everyone had a bit more protection from the elements.

The ceremony floral accents by Carmen were later reused for the sweetheart table in the reception area. The same for tropical plants from A1 Foliage.

Vickie of Beachangels Notary performed their ceremony under our large wrought iron Chuppah.

Upstairs on the terrace, a memorial table for the couple's grandfathers held the sign-in book. Guests enjoyed the social hour with open bar and hors d'oeuvres as the sun peeped out from the clouds for some of the couple's formal pictures together.

Bouquets and other ceremony florals heightened the beauty of the sweetheart table set in front of the main windows overlooking the bay. Our tall "sail" structures framed the scenic backdrop along with tropical foliage uplit in blue. The main reception room, guest tables were set with neutral linens and chair covers with mostly blue hues. Our complimentary guest table centerpieces held bright purple orchid stems with crystals and LED lights submerged in the bottoms.

We decorated the gift, buffet and cake tables with our in-house fabrics and table-top accent pieces

Congratulations to Juniper and Andy on their special day!
