It's a Bling Thing at the St. Pete Beach Community Center

Flowers were a "girl's best friend" for Krystal's February wedding in St. Pete Beach. Her late uncle was in the wholesale floral business in Miami and she was able to order an unlimited amount of beautiful buds for her celebration. Together with her mom and her friends, they created  much drama with light and dark pink pallet of personal and reception flowers.

The day of the wedding ended up being windy, cold, and rainy. Krystal's mom made the decision to move the ceremony indoors inside the main reception room. Guest table were set up and decorated and moved to both sides of the room until the start of the social hour. Luckily the rain subsided long enough for some bridal party pictures outdoors. Guests spent social hour time in the lobby and on the covered upstairs terrace.

While everyone was busy setting up, Krystal and her bridesmaids were getting ready at a nearby hotel.

Besides utilizing our in-house glass cylinders for guest table centerpieces, we had enough extra flowers for all of the decorative tables including sign in, cake, buffet and place card.

Because of so much vivid color in the hot pink and turquoise accents, Krystal opted for silver charger plates with ivory napkins. Centerpieces alternated between "blinged" tall cylinders with pre-fashioned arrangements to varying sizes of cylinders filled with fuschia rose petals and floating candles. And added touch was a single rose stuck in the chair tie knot at the back of each chair.

We added three turquoise runners to the centers of each guest table: two solid and a single damask organza.

The original ceremony arbor accented the sweetheart table in the center of the traditional head table.

Instead of a traditional carving station, the couple opted for a Greek Tradition with gyro meat on a rotating stand.

A Fairy Tale Wedding with Dreamy Details in Lakeland

I knew when I first started working with Danielle, I had a bride who treasured her role in a very special way. She was determined to incorporate a very whimsical, yet regal feel to her ceremony at Hollis Gardens and reception at the Magnolia Building in Lakeland. 

Much like a princess who was the recipient of a fairy godmother's spell, Danielle created a stunning gold, champagne, and blush pink event sparkling with glittery details.  Groom, Michael, was equally as enthusiastic arranging for a horse and carriage for his formal proposal.  

Danielle's mom did an amazing job making glittery table runners, hand-crafted signage, and arranging all of the elements her daughter wanted as part of her wedding day. The day of the wedding, she arrived, aunts in tow, ready to unload and help set out many treasures Danielle wanted displayed during the reception. This ranged from equestrian-related items to unique candle holders and wedding pictures of relatives.

The day of her wedding, Danielle and her girls got ready at the nearby Terrace Hotel.

Danielle and her dad arrived in a horse and carriage to the garden site in front of the main fountain.

Following the ceremony guests were asked to find their way next door to the Magnolia Building for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the outdoor balcony area.

 

 

Danielle and Mike spent muxh of their formal picture time with the horse and carriage lakeside.

Guests had plenty of "site-seeing" to do with displays of the couple's firsts, and tasteful signs on how to share pictures on a web site devoted to their wedding.

 

The details on the guest tables were many: from gold framed table numbers to the heart-shaped confetti, Danielle and her mom thought of everything.

 Tables were set with ivory linen with the gold glittery runner in the center. Danielle chose one of our in-house centerpieces - our five branch gold candlelabra. Her florist supplied the small arrangement in the center of each.

Our newest acquisition, champagne self-tie chair covers were a must have item on the Magnolia's odd sized chairs. Our gold chargers held small candy favor boxes that matched the confetti. The larger 72" round guest tables were the perfect fit for all of the items Danielle wanted on each.

Another unique addition was edible gold dust for the rims of our champagne glasses. A matching sparkling blush wine was poured.

The reception went off without a "hitch," and Danielle and Michelle enjoyed royal treatment at their sweetheart table.
