Sleek and Chic

Nicole & Chris
Nov. 6, 2010

With a dramatic combination of eggplant, black, and platinum, the Palmetto Club became a chic backdrop for Nicole and Chris's early November reception.

Scrollwork monograms were subtly infused into many different aspects including the wedding cake and key table overlays. Everything from small cordial glasses as favors to enhanced room lighting was perfectly orchestrated by our organized staff members and talented vendors.

Most key design elements were pulled together in just a few short meetings including an initial one with their own event designer, a complimentary service of Catering By Robert. A sample table displayed at one of our Client Only Open Houses, gave the couple and their families, an opportunity to modify and enhance the table look.
It was there they decided on napkin folds, the sample fresh floral by Carmen's Flowers, and even the chair tie fashion.
Here's more of the finished product!

Take Me to the Church

Meredith & Michael
Nov. 5, 2010

It's rare for a local Catholic church to rent out their activity hall for wedding receptions, even for parishioners. Meredith and Michael were fortunate to have a supportive family that was happy to help decorate and embellish the St. Patrick's Church Parish Center in South Tampa.

When we first visited the site, I have to say I was skeptical, to say the least. There were lots of bookcases, glass display cases, and a big open space that I wasn't sure could be transformed into an elegant setting for a wedding.

Armed with tons of our in-house fabrics, we were able to disguise the non-wedding elements. The family hung Chinese lanterns, covered poles, and did a bang-up job decorating the huge bar area with lighting and foliage.

The couple's burgundy, ivory and gold color scheme was a perfect fit for the hall. Once the 24 guest tables and chairs were covered and the lights turned down, it became a different atmosphere indeed.

The bride chose to keep everything neutral with pops of gold and burgundy in menu cards and various guest table centerpieces (some provided by a florist, a friend, and us). Our pre-set garden salads with their dark red tomatoes even added color to the ivory palette.

Congratulations to Meredith and Michael for this opportunity to help make their wedding day sparkle!
